Answer #1

a. The different delivery styles that affect effective speaker delivery are as follows:

  • An impromptu delivery style where the speaker without any plan or preparation delivers a speech all of a sudden.
  • The memorized delivery style is where a speaker memories the text to be delivered and just speaks out what is memorized without any interruption.
  • The extemporaneous delivery style is where a speaker uses some short cues or keywords for delivering a speech using his own words. This speech is a planned and direct speech to the audience.
  • The manuscript delivery style where the speaker just reads out the words written before them. It usually happens when the speaker explains scientific findings or certain rules and regulations.

b. The goals of an effective introduction are:

  • To give a clear idea and insight about the topic
  • To introduce to the opinion or argument of the writer.
  • To create a first impression about the entire text.

c. The presenter usually supports the arguments usually by showing up any proof or a piece of evidence related to the text. Another way of supporting arguments is by showing some supportive information that supports the arguments he/she presents.

d.The speaker would preferably create an outline of the speech or text he/she delivers. Hence the speaker could clearly conclude the speech in his/her way of explanation. The conclusion would be related to the introduction part. The presenter could also quote his/her final stand or opinion regarding a topic in the conclusion part.

e.The main purpose of the introduction is to attract the attention of the audience as the first impression is the best impression. There are usually 3 parts to the introduction that includes the topic sentence that describes the topic, a thesis statement that conveys the purpose of the speech and then focuses on the overall points of the speech in a short way.
