Homework Answers

Answer #1

18. option B is the right answer. i.e. net requriements of 200 units.

the total units hold in hands are 700 units. the requirements and utilization for the first three slots are 100+ 300+100= 500.

in the 4th slot the gross requirements are 400 units, but the available units are 200. hence the net requirements (additional units) 200.

19. the additional requirements is for 350 units. as the lead time is 3 weeks, means it takes 3 weeks to deliver the product after order.

if we need to deliver the additional units on day 4, i.e. 200 units, and additional units on day 5 and 6, we need total of 350 units. or if we need to deliver only on day 5 and 6 we need 150 units.

but we do not have any of these options in the listed, hence option E is correct.
