1. (a) Research design consists of strategical approaches to conclude a research problem through logical solutions.

Some factors that affect a Research design includes time & resource, scientific exposure towards the subject, availability of an expert guide, research environment, etc.

(b) Explanatory research means, you are researching on a topic that has not been well-defined in the past or not much data is available yet to sort out the problem. That subject is still being explored by the researchers.

Qualitative research usually relies on obtaining data from opinions, case studies, videos, etc. It gives more preference to idealistic values rather than numerical values.

2. (a) Report writing is a process of gathering information about a subject and summarizing it. The various steps of report writing include subject evaluation, collection of data, creating a report structure, summarize the topic and adding suggestions if required etc.

(b) A hypothesis is an explanation of a subject that is based on limited evidence but with a logical assumption.

Null Hypothesis is a comparison of two different topics or variables which have no interconnection as per the theory. Alternative Hypothesis is a term used for defining the relationship between two variables which might have been uncertain in the past. It is just the opposite of the Null hypothesis.
