Answer #1

An individual chose to pusue the M.P.A rather than M.B.A because MPA emphasizes on developing skills required to have funding for organization. This program teaches you to work for public sector organizations who has mission to work for humanity thereby improving the social condition of the society Where as MBA teahes you to work on economic market.

An MPA degree provides more flexibility in terms of career as compared to MBA. Also the tuition fees for MPA is much lower than as that of the business schools. A student with MBA degree can only work with private organization whereas a student with MPA degree can move from non-profit to private sector organizations. MBA provides limited exposure to public sector organization. An MBA student might find it harder to make a place in public organizations.
