What similarities, if any, can you find among Fiedler's model, path-goal theory, and Heisey and Blanchard's situational leadership?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Both the models, at their core implementation revolves around the factor of providing the best possible actions in the face of different adversities. What that means is that while functional leadership allows a leader to adapt to the style of the requirement based on the situation, essentially removing any hurdles to the factor of the performance of either the manager or the employees. Path-goal theory allows us to understand how a leader motivates their subordinates to achieve motivation, higher throughput, while essentially allowing for them to be able to successfully break free from their differences by removing the obstacles in their path.

both the theory can be considered to be presented centered on the same concept of motivational leadership and change in empowering the employees in order to motivate them to achieve better results in the long run.
