• To achieve the performance as agreed both in terms of quality and quantity.

This can be achieved by encouraging the team members to learn new skills and development and thereby exposing them to a variety of tasks. This not only develops the particular individual in terms of skills and expertise but also the whole team because the main motive of a self managed team is knowledge sharing and extensive communication between the members of the team.
