Stakeholders are those individuals or group of individuals who affect and/or are affected by the changes in the organization's policies, strategies and actions. Employees, directors, government and it's agencies, customers, employers, creditors and community are all stakeholders of the firm. However, the employees, directors and employers/ owners are internal stakeholders. While, government, customers, suppliers, creditors, community and society are external stakeholders.

The distributors are usually not considered to be a stakeholder of an organization.
