Before going to the pros and cons of using attack tactics let us understand the different terms:

• Personal insult:It is a negative remark made about a person.
• Emotional reactions: This involves a series of insults by one person ending up controlling another human.
• Professional insult: a negative remark made by one professional to another in regards to his professional mannerisms.

Pros of a verbal attack tactic is to gain power over a person during conversation, making a deal or showing the other person his /her place in the social hierarchy.

Cons of a verbal attack is that it might get out of hand and lose the power that was gained by the person who insulted the other and have worse consequences including arrest.
