Homework Answers

Answer #1

Warehouse operating principles are highly effective when it comes to customer satisfaction. Along with the smooth operation of the business, it ensures that the customers are satisfied with the overall service of the business. Two warehouse operating principles that lead to better customer satisfaction are :

Keeping optimum level of stock : Keeping excessive stock may increase the cost of storage, while having less stock than required may result in failure to provide the goods on time and lead to customer dissatisfaction. To maximise profitibility and also ensure maximum customer satisfaction( by providing them goods when the customer require them), there should be an optimum level of stock in the warehouse.

Speedy processing of sales : The warehouse should be organized in such a way that it is very easy for the staff to find the right product in the warehouse, at the right time. This process should not take time, as the customers want quick actions and less of waiting time. The organization of the warehouse should be done in such a way that does not create panic when the staff has to pick up the product from the warehouse and he is able to do so in the least time possible.
