I was expecting a call for a telephonic interview for a position I had applied in a company. The mobile network in my home is erratic and is good only in certain sections of the house. Also as luck would have it my mobile device developed a problem on the same day due to which the volume became lower and i was finding it difficult to hear.

The interview did not go well as in certain crucial sections I could not hear the questions properly. This cost me a good opportunity.

Given the importance of the situation

• I should have moved out of my house to a place where mobile network was reliably good.
• Also I should have got the mobile replaced as I knew the trouble with the mobile beforehand.

I think my friend would have kept a alternative phone for emergency situations and use headphone for better hearing.
