As a leader I would like prefer to use group approach when making a decisions. Because, groups approach helps in getting different ideas, thoughts from diversed individual who have different skills and knowldge.

Below are the few pros and cons of individual approach.

Pros:

  • less time consuming
  • Low cost involved in the decision making process.
  • Avoid confusions and dilemmas in the decision making process.

cons:

  • Decesions are tend to have more errors due to individual decision making. Thus end up in defects in the business operations.
  • Reduce the quality of the goods or services.
  • Reduce the profits due to uncertainties in the business.

Below are the pros and cons of group approach.

Pros:

  • group approach helps to make good decisions for the projects.
  • Involve all members in the teams.
  • Group approach provide a ways to enhance and showcase the employee skills and knowledge.
  • Enhaces the quality of the business operations, goods and services.

Cons:

  • group approach is a time consuming process.
  • Group approach will increase the cost of the decision making.
  • Group approach tend to have more clashes among the employees or team memebers.
