This Edgar Schein's statement states the role and behaviour of an individual in an organization. As per him, there might be situations wherein the Organization would be struggling because of the external factors, or the internal factors would be out of control and the whole system would be in disarray, however it's the responsibility of each individual to stay composed and follow the ethics and beliefs they have learnt through their experiences and treat the organization like their own family, to get it out of the tough situation in the worst of times.

When the situation is bad for an organization, only the employees can save the ship from sinking, and this is only possible if the employees believe in the Organization and try to give in their best irrespective of bad the counterparts are behaving or performing.
