Why is the important that you understand your role in health care facility design? Provide example.

Health care facility design deals with the design, allocation and accommodation of different types of resources in optimum ways so that it can deliver effective and efficient health care services and related results. It is the step that strongly affects the final delivery of services to the patients In this regard, it is important for me to understand the role in this facility design, because I am also a stakeholder, responsible for facility design to be successful and help health care facility to improve the results. For example, my role is to provide sterilization and hygiene of the area and portable utensils and management of the concerned devices. Now, it is my responsibility to inform the concerned team involve in facility design that what should be the best location of my department of functional area that can help me effectively deliver the work and ensure that sterilization and hygiene in maintained as per the standard operating procedure and serve different other facilities. It is only possible when I know that my role is to provide important inputs that makes development of facility design in health care facility in best possible ways. It helps me discharge my responsibilities that will ensure the success of health care facility design.

Further, the importance of understanding my role  is also there to ensure that there is a proper balance between movement of human resources, machines and other physical setups so that safety and efficient service delivery concerns are also taken care off. It makes me responsible to raise the concerns the help team to make effective facility design. In another example, the location of nursing station and location of pantries delivering food to the patients should be in the correct location and space should be allocated as a part of the facility design  and it is my role to ensure that no bottlenecks are created and patients do not suffer when an efficient facility design takes place.
