Emotional Intelligence shows how well a person takes care and can effectively manage his/her emotions in different situations. For an effective team regulation and transformational leadership, it is very important to take care of all the components of emotional intelligence which are:

  • Self-awareness: Self awareness talks about being aware of yourself. How can you expect a manager to transform others if he/she isn't well aware about what they want or what they are capable of. Thus, to make the effectively transformational of the people to go, it is very important to be self awared about yourself.
  • Self-regulation: The next factor talks about regulation. Self regulation is the factor is which keeps himself or herself regulated and follows the rules and regulations to be ethical and moral in its activities and operations towards the people in the organisation. You have to self regulate yourself to the factor that you are doing right with everyone and isn't only benefiting yourself and keeping others down.
  • Motivation: A person's emotional intelligence is also checked by the level of motivation he had for himself/herself and how well he/she is motivating others to be a part of it. Motivation drives the person to achieve the tasks. Thus, it helps to encoourage, influence and lead people to transform their lives into a better one.
  • Empathy: A transformational leader should be empathic. One should have feelings of sympathy and empathy both were he/she could understand the problems of the workforce and take proper actions to solve their problems anyhow.
  • Social skills: At last, a transformational leader should be equipped with the social skills. One should possess the best communication, personal and interpersonal skills to understand, communicate and make the best decisions for different situations.
