Hochschild focuses on the idea that women’s gender roles have changed with the influx of women into the workplace since WWII. Women currently make up about ½ of the workforce. She says that in recent years, men’s gender roles have changed in response. Today, according to Hochschild, we are experiencing “stall number two”, in which the workplace has remained unchanged. She means that the workplace still operates as if there is a spouse at home providing support for a breadwinner.Hochschild offers some ideas about how we can get out of the second stall.

1) Yes i agree with Hochschild that both the workplace and government should support women to act as a dualworker family model. As the flow of women increased in a hike to the workplace the women gender role are also changed to a greater extent. Now women encompass half of the total workforce or labour force . Women's have ability to manage things quite easily without any hurdles. She can handle the workplace as well as home in a well defined manner. So government and workplace should support dual worker family model by introducing new ideas that are emerged to support them.
2) Still old fashioned workplace are available and dual roled wokers had to be adapted. Dualwokers should make them realize that they can handle things in a planned manner so that no point misunderstandings arise. Workplaces are to educated so that they can understand dualworkers quality and value.
