Answer #1

The local consumptions are based on what is available locally which makes the majority of the market to be into local consumption. In local consumption the patterns are simple which makes the local product to be sold in local markets. For an example the local fruits and vegetable are sold in the local markets by simple producer and vendors. Hence the local consumption is dependents on the local produce and is generally available and cheap with a distinct taste that is the trait of local market. In super market people goes for high end product and have less change of bargaining which is trait of local consumption. Hence people with the below is affluent to supermarkets while the local is for all:

· Higher income group with more disposable income,

· Smaller section of the market with distinct taste,

· The power of bargaining is near to nil and so the prices are higher to the local markets.
