the events surrounding the historic collapse in 2008 coupled with the realization that the world is so integrally connected is alarming to many of us. I am not sure I agree with the notion you cite where Meyers (2017) argues that building cultural awareness in firms that embark on mergers, may decrease the effects of anti-globalization. Please let us know how this works. How does increased cultural awareness helps those who are against globalization?

Increased cultural awareness helps those who are against globalisation as it leads to better communication and understanding. If there is increased cultural awareness then it is more easier to create any changes to adapt to globalisation. With better cultural awareness it helps to create a cultural identity that is flexible and not adversely affected by globalisation. With cultural awareness, there are more chances of mutual understanding between cultures that is required for globalisation and mergers.
