Answer #1

Answer:

Various causes for the increased lead time in serving hot coffee even when the number of employees, material and equipment are sufficient could be as follows:

1. Employees may not have sufficient expertise to make the hot coffee within the given time.

2. There could be other works going on in the store for which the staff may be required to wait to start the making of the coffee.

3. There could be large number of customer orders for which the staff may be occupied.

4. Customer may have demanded for a special type of coffee that may be requiring extra time.

5. Employees may think of allowing some extra time to the customer so that he can enjoy the environment of the store.

6. Employees may think that if an individual spends some time in the store then he may order some other complimentary product of the store.

7. There could be less coordination among the employees as a result of which they would have been taking the extra time.
