1) Briefly describe any personal experience that you have with people with disabilities. What attitudes do you have that will enable you to work well with children with disabilities? Is there anything that worries you or makes you uncomfortable working with children with disabilities?
2) In your own words, what is full inclusion? Define and describe it.
3) What is your main takeaway on children with disabilities and anti-bias education?
(1) I personally have good experience with children having disability. I have two students near my locality with disability. In order to work well with children with disability, one must have a good positive attitude without any biasness. Should not treat them differently from other students, and depending on the type of disability work with them patiently without losing any calm. The only thing which worries me is whether I will be able to manage them with care and give them full attention while dealing with them, and not ignoring them in front of other students.
(2) Full inclusion refers to the situation where all the students irrespective of their physical handicap condition will all be served in regular classroom, and will be given equal treatment like given to others. It means that all the students should be given equal platform and education facilities in the classroom where other students are taught.
(3) Children with disability should be given fair treatment while imparting education to them and should not indulge in any kind of biasness while teaching them. Moreover, they should be treated similar to other students and make sure they are not left behind. The education platform should be totally free from biasness and no child with disability should be given less education opportunity and learning platforms. An education system with biasness, corruption will create a bad culture and a rotten education system in the country, thus resulting into poor and faulty output.
