- Second Reading and its importance when creating legislation:

This is the first opportunity for a Bill to be debated in either of the Houses and the overall principles of the Bill are considered. And once it clears or passes the Second Reading, it would move to the Committee Stage.

The importance of Second Reading in the creation of legislation is majorly because this is the only place where you can debate the Bill for the pros and cons. The same can also be amended here. The members can debate the bills for its key principles and main purposes.

- Royal Assent and its importance when creating legislation:

This is the final step which is required for marking the Bill a law. Here when the Bill is passed to the Sovereign or their representative, they can either pass the Bill so as to make it a law. Or delay the Bills assent using their power and thereby vetoing the Bill.

The Royal may also refuse the same and not give the Royal assent if advised by the ministers.

The importance of Royal Assent is because in the British Law, the Bill would only become a law when it receives the RA.
