Would the District Court WA be bound to decisions made by the Supreme Court NSW? Why or why not?
In the judiciary system, there are three courts. where people or civilians of Australia can sue the other person. Supreme court, High Court, District Court. District court is a lower court. Where the criminal and civilian cases can be heard. After this, if the Plaintiff is not satisfied. He can go to High court and then the Supreme court. Supreme court is the highest NSW court in the hierarchy of Australian court. In the supreme court of NSW, there are 52 permanent judges are working including the chief justice of NSW. So, we can say that Supreme court is higher court than the District Court and District court must have to follow the decisions made by the Supreme Court. There is also a common laws in some different countries like the United States, Canada, England and Wales and New Zealand. So, District Court decisions may influence by other country's court decisions. If the case is same. So, Yes we can say that the District Court of Western Australia is bound to decisions made by the supreme court.
