API stands for Application Programming Interface which works as an intermediary software which allows any two application softwares to communicate and easily share and recieve data and transfer information. For example, when you open Facebook, send any message or check the weather, you are using API technology where two softwares: your phone software and the application software being enabled to communicate.

The value of API lies in its usability it provides. When any organisation uses API, creating application and running them becomes an easier task. You can easily deliver, transfer the services and the information among various apps effectively and efficiently. It provides productivity and flexibility in your operations for your business giving it value.
