Employees join in Union because:-

  • They could discuss their problems
  • They could protect their rights.
  • They could get an awareness of the insecurity that they are feeling.
  • It would help in negotiating better pay
  • It helps with having a better work environment.

Management can resist unions by:-

  • Not giving a chance to form a union.
  • Always be there for the employees
  • procuring the trust of employees
  • Having fair practices.

The history of craft unions and industrial unions are too broad. But, mainly all of these were set up at the time of the 19th century, where the employees went bargaining for their rights. These were, crucially generated in American industries. In a manner, the concept of collective bargaining leads to the formation of all these unions. Also, their struggle for standardization is a mentionable factor.

The main differences between Craft union and Industrial union is that:-

  • An industrial union is much wider than a craft union.
  • Craft union includes only those who do the specific craft. While, the industrial union includes all employees, irrespective of the crafts they perform for the specific industry.

It was created by the Union federal agency. The congress supported its formation and was made into life in 1935. The purpose for creating NLRB is to prevent unfair practices, that may occur exploiting the labors
