Efficacy in literal term refers to the ability or capacity of something to produce desired results. Therefore product efficacy refers to the capacity of a product to produce the desired result or intended function which if not accomplished defeats the very purpose of producing or purchasing it. In other words product efficacy is the tendency of a product to match the specifications and standards for producing the desired performance outcomes.

For example if Washing machine is not able to dry the clothes properly, then its product efficacy is low.
