M2M is like exchanging data or communicating without any human interaction, just its like translate information into data which is relevant to the end user and this is monitored and analyzes according to the specifications given by human.

When I started researching about this technology its faster, Easier, decision making, low power consumption and cost efficient (minimizing equipment militance and downtime) for businesses.

The main purpose of M2M is to tap sensor data and transmit it to a network and drawbacks of M2M Communication are use of cloud computing means dependence on others which could limit flexibility and innovation.

Example:

best example is Asset tracking services is a major concern for many companies. In particular, companies in the shipping industry and / or companies with a large fleet. Companies that need to track their assets can now do so with relatively inexpensive GPS trackers connected to an M2M network. These GPS trackers allow you to track vehicle movement in real time. They also allow companies to collect useful data on fuel consumption, average travel time and driver performance that can improve driving and process efficiency.

Answer #1

I agree with this post since the use machine to machine interaction is used increasingly and as given in the examples, transporters are using such technology to track their trucks and their performance parameters in order to optimize their usage and reduce costs. This is also being used in passenger transport by cab aggregators like uber. Machine to machine interaction replaces the manual tasks and reduces the errors. It also provides easy information to businesses who can use the data for performing operations efficiently.
