You hire me as your attorney to represent you in a bankruptcy. You pay me $2500 for the bankruptcy but before I perform the services, I realize that I don’t have time to represent you in the bankruptcy. I delegate my good friend Robin Griggs to represent you. You object to the delegation and sue me for a refund. Using IRAC what would be the outcome.
I can sue you for the refund as I hired you as my attorney, not your friend. You cannot delegate your services of an attorney to anyone else. If an attorney is hired to provide their service, they cannot transfer it to another person. In this case, Using IRAC, you have to provide service of attorney by him, or you will have to provide a refund to me.
A Thumbs Up! Would be really helpful for me. If you have any questions, please leave a comment and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
