Describe a work situation where there is resistance to change. Why and how can we address them?
I am a sales manager in a multinational company and recently company implemented a Gps enable applications to track the employees day activities and applications support all kind of activities that relates to business operation like request for damp products, request for the display board, advertisement, human resource activities, etc.
The company arranged training and session to explain the benefits of application but recently top management complaining and scolding to team that only 70% of employees using this application out of them only 20 % know the features and utility of these applications. Employees are resistant to change the traditional practices and afraid of being tracked by the management about a daily routine that is why avoiding to accept change.
As per my analysis, we promote this application as an effective medium of employee communication with human resource manager and operational team like applying for leave, requesting for the branding of retail stores, finding the monthly incentives, finding holidays, etc and by doing this employee automatically engaged with this applications.
That will be effective ways of implementation of change and without positioning fear in the employee's mind and affecting productivity at the workplace.
