Ans

When I was joining Mahindra Agri services organization in Mumbai, India I went through their onboarding process. The onboarding process consisted of three day induction programme which was attended by other joinees along with me. The Program consisted of informing us about the Group company Mahindra and Mahindra as well as the specific company Mahindra Agri Services that I was joining. The Group company presentations consisted about the Human Resource policies like core values of the organization, learning and development, salary components, leaves available and the various policies like whistle blower policy and sexual Harassment policy. There was also a session on Performance management and what was the framework for  it. There was a session on Administration facilities including emergency services. Then there were specific presentations related to the company I was joining related to Finance, marketing, trade and other functions. I was also encouraged to go through the website of the company as well as the financials of the company and ask any questions that i might have related to all the presentations that were made. I was then introduced to my superior who introduced me to my colleagues. I had informal discussions with my colleagues and i learnt about the culture of the company and the do's and the don'ts.

I used many of these resources like the performance appraisal metrics at the time of my appraisal later. I also used the emergency services when one of my colleague met with an accident. I often met with the Human Resource professionals who had given the presentations to seek guidance on my career.
