Choose two commercials that were aired during the Super Bowl that you believe is reflective of Chapter 4 on Learning and Memory and explain what elements of the chapter you feel are reflected in the commercials. Please attach the links to the commercials via "You Tube" or otherwise.

Two commercials which were aired during the Super Bowl that I have selected here are as follow:

1. Ad for Alexa Ft. Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi her significant other.

The element of the chapter Learning and Memory which are reflected over here are that usage of the three stages of memory which are encoding-storage-retrieval. Alexa takes the input from the user and converts the same into action. It also saves the data for us which are retrieved later as per the command we give.

ALexa also holds a brand equity today as it has a strong positive association in a consumer’s memory as it comes from Amazon which is an established brand.

The ad also shows us the past were such products or sophisticated equipment’s were not available and how people cope. It also shows that the Alexa of the people of the past era were similar human beings and today we depend on these sophisticated equipment’s for getting our works done rather than depending on human beings.

Another element reflected here is the linkage between the product and an underlying need of human being which is to get things done without moving from their comfort zone.

2. Ad for Rocket Mortgage by Jason Momoa.

In this ad, Jason Momoa is marketing for the house or the place where we are ourselves. He is shown to be removing all those extra mass he have used in order to build a fake profile when he is out in the public and he is also shown to remove a wig.

Now this is again showing a linkage between the product that the Rocket mortgage would give us quenching our underlying need i.e. a good grab of loan for owning a house were we can be yourself.

Here another element reflected is that the consumers who are watching this as would be learning the need or requirement of a home by watching what is affecting Jason Momoa and what he is feeling about being home and in its comfort.
