Answer #1

1. What are some reasons why our ethical obligations to ourselves may lead us to protect the natural world?

One of the reasons why our ethical obligations to ourselves may lead us to protect the natural world would be that if we protect the natural world, society as a whole will be happier and will live better lives because of the protected environment. The premise behind this reasoning is that if society protects the natural world, then humans will be able to enjoy the beauty of nature and everything that it has to offer without any negative side effects.

Another reason why our ethical obligations to ourselves may lead us to protect the natural world would be our right to live healthy and full lives. The premise behind this reasoning is that we need to protect the natural world and our ecosystem because each individual has a right to live a healthy life, and if we do not protect the ecosystem, we are taking that right away.

2. What is the difference between protecting the natural world because we humans are valuable, and because animals are valuable?

The goal of protecting the natural world because we humans are valuable is to preserve and protect the natural ecosystem so that we as humans can enjoy everything that nature has to offer. The goal is to provide humans healthier and fuller lives. If we are protecting the natural world because animals are valuable, our goal is to then protect the ecosystem so that other creatures can enjoy everything that nature has to offer, even if it means that we as humans will no longer benefit from it

2 Market place argument focuses on the freedom of speech & freedom of expression for individual & corporation. It attempts to promote free market philosophy with the capitalistic economic view. Because of this,it will support expression of disappointment by the workers/employees in company. It turns supports workers rights to strike.

Because union workers are striking does not compel an employee to join the picket lines. It can be ethically supported using the rights framework of ethics. Right framework provides the rights to individuals & allows them to actually decide what they actually want to do. Because of this, worker can choose not to join his/her companionship at picket line.
