Health care facilities like hospitals or clinics need to be on their toes in terms of availability of the products. Imagine a situation where a critical surgery is planned for a patient and the inventory of tools/equiments/medicines needed for the surgery is not enouhg at the healthcare facility. This will lead to a disaster. Therefore, healthcare facilities need to maintain inventory, and more so from the perspective of managing and recording the inventory data as well. All the critical items like radiactive materials used in nuclear tests like bone scan etc. need to be maintained and logged for audit purposes. Inventory maintenance and management is critical to success of any organization, therefore healthcare facilities should also maintain the same for maintaining good services.
