Homework Answers

Answer #1

1. Signing arbitration typically means entering into a contract in which two parties agree that certain disputes will be decided in arbitration and not litigation.

2. In general it means the signed party or the employee gives up the rights to go to the court if there are any disputes and get it solved through the arbitration which is a private dispute resolution panel.

3. According to the federal arbitration act few requirements should be fulfilled for an agreement to be enforced like

a. The agreement should be in writing.

b. It should be included as a part of valid contract under 9USC section 2.

c. Only when the above two requirements are fulfilled this agreement shall we valid irrevocable and enforceable and hence Sofia has to get all this done.
