INTRODUCTION

Yogo game is a multinational Japanese social media company that operates within internet commodities and service industry,has launched their subsidiary in United States,apart from the subsidiaries in China,Vietnam nad Japan.Yogo game is currently looking for a global exopansion,but the decision of organisation structure,corporate culture and the overall organisation strategy is the barriers that cause them from expandind them to the global market.Inorder to find a solution to this problem,it is important to develop a strategy that would cobime work efficeincy of Japanese organisation as well as theinnovation of American organisations.As an initial step,it is necessary to take care of the strategies that is going to be implemented initially,and it is recommended to holf off the existing products and they should analyse and understand the customer preference and then continue ,with their expansion to the global market.

Problem Definition

Soon after the establishmant of Yogo game,management realized the need for expansion to the global market.The main concern is the cultural difference and their implications on external environament and internal strategies.The situation is worse because,there exist clear corporate cultural gap between Japanese and their American organisations.Their also exist a major problem of offering competitive salary for top talented professionsls and the need to reduce cost on operation.

SWOT Analysis on the problem

  • The key strength of the organisation is their adavanatge over other organisation by making it more competitive.they have effieciently used reduced with less cost and that too their financial result shows that they have consecutive profitin the last 5 consecutive years.They have invested extensively inthe training of the employees and their social presence has resulted in higher levels of customer satisfaction.
  • The weakness is that the organosation is less effocient,and need to improve to cope up with the market trends.They are spending more than the average research and development expenditure within the industry ,but their results show thst they have not conducted any research in the market since last 2 years.
  • Oppurtunities-There is a huge increase in their social media userd worldwide and they can retain them and from they can collect feedback for improving their service quality.They can improve their marketing efforts and automate their operations to reduce cost.Even the globalisation ,doesnt affect their entry into the global maret,so,they can enter into global markets and expand their growth.
  • Threats-Increased competitions can cause for deduction in revenue,and the bargaining power of suppliers has increase with decreasein the number of suppliers.This means that the cost of input couls decrease.

PEST ANALYSIS

Political Factors-The presence of Yogo game in multiple market increases the risk of political stability and their present government system need to study the changes in the government policies very closely.

Economic factors-Strategies to adapttheir marketing policies in multiple market requirestrategies to hold consumer behaviour which is difficult in the period of recession and boom.

Social factors-Population growth and rising market trends offer oppurtunities for expansion

Technologiacl factors-Technological advancement has lowered production cost ,and shortened product life cycle to enhance value chain efficiency.

Hofstede's cultural dimensions

Professor Geert Hofstede conducted a study on how the values in the workplace are influenced by culture.It became an internationally recognised standard for understanding cultural differences.The six dimensions are:

  • Power Distance Index-Power Distance Index which stated that in high PDI countries,the team members will not be initiated any action, and they like to be guided and directed to complete a task. If a manager doesn't take charge, they may think that the task isn't important.

In case of high PDI,there will be more complex hierarchies and large caps in compensation,authority and respect.

  • Individualism Versus Collectivism (IDV)-IDV states that a high IDV score indicates weak interpersonal connection among those who are not part of a core "family."

Here, people take less responsibility for others' actions and outcomes.For example, a marketing campaign that emphasizes benefits to the community would likely to be understood and well received, as long as the people addressed feel part of the same group.

  • Masculinity Versus Femininity (MAS)

    This sates that the distribution of roles between men and women. In masculine societies, the roles of men and women overlap less, and men are expected to behave assertively.Foe example, Japan has the highest MAS score of 95, whereas Sweden has the lowest measured value of five. Therefore, if you open an office in Japan, you should recognize you are operating in a hierarchical, deferential and traditionally patriarchal society.

  • Uncertainty Avoidance Index (UAI)

    This dimension describes how well people can cope with anxiety.In societies that score highly for Uncertainty Avoidance, people attempt to make life as predictable and controllable as possible. For example,In Hofstede's model, Greece tops the UAI scale with 100, while Singapore scores the lowest with eight.

  • Long- Versus Short-Term Orientation

    This dimension was originally described as "Pragmatic Versus Normative (PRA)." It refers to the time horizon people in a society display.For example,The U.S. has a short-term orientation. This is reflected in the importance of short-term gains and quick results.

  • Indulgence Versus Restraint (IVR)

    Hofstede's sixth dimension, discovered and described together with Michael Minkov, is also relatively new, and is therefore accompanied by less data.For example,According to the model, Eastern European countries, including Russia, have a low IVR score. Hofstede argues that these countries are characterized by a restrained culture, where there is a tendency towards pessimism.

Yogo Game American can offer competitive wages and compensation when going up against their competitors who shares and suffers from the same lack of talent after their expansion into America. That is why that the company should not just focus ,on recruitment from well-known sources, but innovatively source talent from other areas. One of the alternatives is focusing on merger and acquisition within the industry for their entry into the market and that is exactly what Yogo Game should do. With the necessary knowledge and know-how from their domestic Japanese markets, it would not prove to be difficult for the company to scout out suitable startups that would prove beneficial to the company’s future, providing much needed
