quota is a “rigid and inflexible” number with a deadline in place (Bennett- Quota isdefined as a specific amount or number that is expected to be achieved. As an officialpolicy, quotas are illegal.According to the class text (Bennett-Alexander and Hartman, 2012), affirmativeaction placement goals are objectives where employers must apply every good faitheffort to make all aspects of the affirmative action work. One example of this is for anemployer to have an affirmative action plan. It does not mean the goals have to beachieved.So, the difference between quotas and affirmative action goals, is that affirmativeaction goals are goals with a good faith effort of achievement, whereas quotas arespecific numbers of a certain population that would have to be hired
