Answer #1

If the US starts moving towards Canadian system in healthcare , employer costs would raise as they would need to invest more in employee benefits in providing healthcare and also the employees would get more benefits with the new single pay system where taxpayers pay for health coverages and not private organizations like in US. However we need to make our CEO understand that US is in a different situation than Canada with more diverse conditions and work environments and hence the single pay system might not work in US as the coverage would be more and mere taxes would not be sufficient to cover them. Hence we need as our CEO not to move to Canadian system as it would be more costly and also not beneficial in the working conditions of US.
