The six sigma is being used in two companies in the following ways

1- By Valley Baptist Health System- This non profit organisation implemented six sigma approach as a method for process improvement and for organisational transformation The company had a great advantage of the approach as it foster revitalized culture that embraces voice of the customer, removes the barrier to change and raise the bar on performance expectation with this the organisation seems the great opportunity that would align with its strategic objective and produces measureable result. For the implementation the team of the company launches an effort to review and improved staff scheduling

2- By the manufacturing firm- The use or implementation of six sigma by the manufacturing companies helps to improve the manufacturing process and its performance thus by implementing this six sigma approach the company can remove the defect occuring and takes its various other improvement advantage

The following are the criticism of or potential difficulties with six sigma implementation are

a) Expension- This six sigma program proves to be expensive for the company as the implementation of the six sigma requires huge finance which ultimately result in increased cost or expensive of the company and this proves to be the critisim of the above mentioned approach

b) Requires changes- As this approach requires the changes in the organisation but that change is difficult to bring as their is lots of resistance to change among the people as they are not willing to change so it serves as one of the difficulty of the approach
