What benefit would there be to employers if they pre-screened all job applicants with a combination of personality assessments and instruments measuring EI levels?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

If the employers prescreen all the job applicants with personality assessments and instruments that measure the EI levels, it will help the employer to understand whether the employee would be able to perform the job as expected. Most of the jobs require the employees to possess interpersonal skills that exceed knowledge in the particular subject. If the personality of the candidates do not match with the responsibilities they need to perform, maximum performance would not be possible. Measurement of emotional intelligence levels help the employer to identify whether the personality of the candidate would help to successfully deal with the situations the candidate needs o face in the job. Hence the employer can hire maximum number of efficient candidates through prescreening of EI levels.
