In your opinion, is there such a thing as too much empowerment in the contemporary workplace? Elaborate your opinion. What is it about organizational politics that can make individuals feel uneasy? Explain.

I don't think there is too much empowerment; rather there is either less or the right amount of empowerment. Workers need to be empowered in order to be more productive, take risks, think innovatively and get more involved at work. Empowerment of workers helps an organization become more innovative and productive.

Organizational politics spoils an organizational environment which is detrimental to the performance of workers. Organizational politics can put unnecessary stress on people and make them less productive. Empowerment helps people deal with organizational politics in a better way. Empowerment helps people deal with organizational politics and make their voice heard. Therefore, empowerment makes it easier for employees to deal with organizational politics.
