Organizational theory tends to the set of behavior of individuals or groups , who interact with each other to accomplish a common goal.It also studies the effect of social relationship between the individuals within the organizations.It also focus on internal and external business enviornment,like political,legal, cultural etc.

In order to understand the organizational behavior and the all activities there are some theories which explain it clearly.

  1. Classical theory This theory focuses more on the productivity and efficiency rather than the behavioral activities of the employees.Basically it combines the aspects of scientific management , bureaucratic theory and administrative theory.where scientific management obtain optimal equipment and personnel. Then it carefullyscruitinizing each componet of the production process.And bureaucratic theory puts importance on establishing a hierarchical structure of power.Administrative theory established universal management principles.
  2. Neoclassical Organizational theory This approach emphasizes the human needs to maintain the employees happy in the workplace.It also provide a scope for activities, individual growth and motivations , which leads the organizations productivity and overal growth.
  3. Contigency theory It allows managers to take decisions based on current situations,and also manages the conflict on wrokplace..Here productivity is a function of managers ability to adapt to enviornmental changes.
  4. Systems theory In this theory all components of organization are interrelated and changes in one component may affect all other components.It views the organization as a open system in a stste of dynamic equilibrium.so, there is a nonlinear relationship between organizational components. It creates a complex uderstanding of system theory.

All these concepts have agreat impact on organizational development, productivity and profits. As these are all interrelated and interdependent.Because to achieve a goal its necessary to perform the task together with a good cooperation.These are the measure aspects of organizational activities which plays a measure role to manage the organizational needs.
