The recipe for Pepsi was first developed by Caleb Bradham. He coined the name Pepsi-Cola in 1898. As the cola gained popularity, he created the Pepsi-Cola company in 1902. The Pepsi-Cola was incorporated in Delaware in 1919. The company was absorbed into Loft. Inc in 1941. In 1965, the company merged with Frito-Lay Inc to become PepsiCo Inc.

PepsiCo is now an American multinational food, snack and beverage corporation headquartered in Purchase, New York. After formation in1965 with the merger of Pepsi-Cola company and Frito-Lay inc, PepsiCo expanded from Pepsi to a broad range of food and beverages like Moutain Dew, Lay's, 7 up, Cheetos, Mirinda, Aquafina etc. Meanwhile PepsiCo made many acquisitions worldwide helping it to grow into an international conglomerate.
