Below are some of the key differences in getting a performance appraisal from some human resource personnel than from a supervisor and manager:

  • Human resource personnel will look to find performance feedback from others and then make an opinion whereas manager or supervisor will be able to do appraisal based on the information with them and taking inputs from team members.
  • Human resource appraisal will be more generic in nature and will be done at the organization level where as appraisal from a supervisor and manager will be more personal and will have employee specific inputs.
