Project Overview

San Jose State University has experienced many different types of assaults and attacks over the recent years. Protecting students on campus day and night should be the main concern of the university. Risky Business believes that this is due to the poor lighting on campus to ensure that students feel safe. We believe that motion activated lighting on campus and in the parking garages will deter potential threats. Our project will dive into the scope baseline, project cost, and critical path.

Quality Control

In order to sustain a high level of quality control for our lighting system, Risky Business needs to ensure that there will be regular testing to ensure the system is working properly. In order to work correctly, the lights will need to work with our software as well as when students are in the parking garage and campus walkways. As a company, we want to be able to provide top notch quality service for our customers. We want our quality to continue to improve over periods of time while maintaining an exceptional customer experience. Through our system we will know the exact spot where the lighting is giving an error or requires a simple fix. Also, driving through the parking garage and campus walkways will give the company a better idea of how well our system is working. One of our strategies is continuous improvement. A continuous improvement within the company will help provide better quality service and maintain a healthier management relationship between our employees. Our goal is to progressively update and improve our system which will allow us an opportunity to provide the best service for our customers. We will provide monthly check ups and walkthroughs to ensure our system is working properly. Risky Business will also provide a survey/feedbacks for faculty members, students, and visitors to see what they like and dislike about our system. This will allow us to understand what we can improve on or simply leave it how it is. We aim to make our customers 100% satisfied at all times. By having a quality control plan, this will allow us to acclimate to any changes and evolve as a company."
