Briefly describe social learning theory and its three elements.
Social learning theory:
According to social learning theory, it is a system through which people learn through society or the people they live with or the community where they live in.
Its three elements are:
1. Observation: Many a times, individuals learn things by observing others. They observe the problem of the current situation, how the person acted towards the same and what was the result. If impressive then the individual would follow the same. Learning also occurs through verbal observation.
2. Motivation: Another main element is motivation where an individuals motivation level decides whether he learns the observed behaviour or not. It depends on ones mental state which decides to follow or not
3. Modelling: Finally learning may not affect any change in behaviour. People can keep learning without any changes in their current behaviours.
