There is a difference in leading vs competing. What is that difference and be detailed in your answer?

Leading is showing the right path for a team to make them win with winning as the only motive while competing is making plans to defeat a competitor and this involves competiton more that a mission to lead. When we want to win have to compete but when we want only to compete we need not necessarily win. Leading will need a motivation and a plan but in competing the competitor itself is the motivation and the steps taken to compete forms the plan . Leading is responsibility while competing is a task where we want to win , Competing might give negative results but effective leading always gives positive results. Competing requires a leader where as leading need not have competitor.
