Answer #1

Social media can give sports fans an inside look at their favorite programs and access to behind the scenes information that otherwise would not be accessible. This backstage feeling is capable of drawing fans in and enhancing the ties they feel to the teams and athletes they cheer for. Social media is able to draw a personal connection that traditional media often lacks and this has provided a significant amount of differentiation. The sense of exclusivity or never before seen information is often precisely what a fan desires and this is what social media can provide.

I have installed an application named' Sportskeeda'. It used to tell me 5 top stories of selected sports of my choice i.e Cricket, Hockey, and Chess from the international circuit. I have set a reminder of 5:30 pm as it is my break time for the next 15 mins I used to read news from this application.

This app contains crucial moments of the latest game as well as events that are in trend also give info about upcoming fixtures. I used to see it once in a day during the peak season of matches otherwise I used to see once in two days. The best thing with this app is that there are no advertisements as well as less personal bias about the situation which saves crucial time.

Nowadays, Sporting bodies are also developing their own media platforms and companies, like NBL TV and AFL Media, bypassing the traditional news media to broadcast their own games and break their own news.

This changing media landscape, where sports organizations can tell their stories directly to their fans through their own social or digital channels, is making it more difficult for traditional news journalists to get access to athletes or coaches. The organization’s media department often holds the power to decide which player appears, where, and when, and it’s becoming more common that their own channels win.
