These six levels are used to set lessons according to the learning outcomes, assessments for the students at the end of the learning. The taxonomy was developed by Benjamin Bloom, an educator at the University of Chicago in 1956. The six levels of Bloom’s taxonomy are

1.       Knowledge (remembering)

The first level consists of recollecting or remembering the information and knowledge that are previously learned by a student. It consists of retrieving and remembering knowledge and information that was fed into the long-term memory.

2.       Comprehension (understanding)

The second level consist of displaying an understanding of the facts which include theories and concepts. It consists of developing meaning from different oral and written information by interpretations, categorizations, inferences, comparisons and explanations.

3.       Applying

The third level consist of execution and implementation using procedures, tools and techniques.

4.       Analyzing

The fourth level consist of breaking down complex information into smaller parts and determining how each parts are related to each other and the whole structure by contrasting, experimenting, illustrating, inferential and modelling techniques.

5.       Synthesis (evaluating)
