Newyork times has options to explore its business on growth and diversification model and on competitive strategic front. It can start business on content creation, entertainment business, consulting business to media houses , online book readings and other related business portfolios.

It should adopt direct online selling of contents and e-commerce model like Amazon kindle, Netflix, Disney, world press and others organizations. Online selling will be low cost intervention and it has wider reach to the global customers. E-commerce model has many advantages like less headaches to manage the inventories, and fewer members of channel management. A web based business model might provide its opportunity to reduce the cost per sale of online news , media and entertainment contents. Even, it can earn huge amounts of money by taking opportunities in online advertising of web banners, promotional blogs, space selling on cloud and many other innovative practices in  media and entertainment industry .
