What is satisficing

Satisficing is nothing but decision or course of action which involves meeting the criteria by selecting the adequate solution rather than spending time on best solution.

In satisficing decisions, options are reviewed one by one and the first option that satisfy the criterion is selected. This is generally done to prevent the expenditure of time, energy and resources and thus the decision is taken examining the alternatives until the first acceptable solution is found.
