Write approximately 1,750-2,000 words addressing the following questions:
How has globalization impacted health care in the United States?
In what ways and why are patients, workers, management practices, and health policies flowing across international borders?
Healthcare is no longer a privately dependent segment where patients should only depend on healthcare service providers within the country they live in. With the growth of globalisation across all sectors including the healthcare segment, the roads to different nations have opened and it is far more easier now to approach best of the best physicians or doctors to attend some special cases. This all has been posible due to globalisation where healthcare providers from different regions either come together or a large heathcare provider has increased its reach to different nations.
Although, the helathcare industry in the United States is reluctant to globalisation due to various challenges coming up due to changes in reforms and regularisations, it has impacted the health care. The impact is such that various healthcare providers from other developing nations have extended their services and labor at a lower cost which has forced the United States to take an action upon it. The known fact that healthcare involves huge costs, the cheap labor and services would be a profitable ploy to the healthcare segment. This is the major reason why there are no boundaries for workers working in the helathcare industry to the level of patients moving from one country to another to get their treatment done. The movement of services and people have become more feasible as the global world has opened gates which emphaises more importance on cost saving and quality of service rather than regulation reforms.
Overall, the healthcare segment like any other segment has taken up the globalisation impact and have been growing to increased reach.
