What have you recently heard or read about healthcare information technology? Do you find the material that you have heard or read to be credible and well-informed? What can leaders of health information technology organizations do to ensure that the general public, users, patients, and media understand information technology products and services fairly and accurately?

Healthcare system now goes hand in hand with the technological
advances of our current time.
The four technologies that have advanced and are being developed by
the leaders in the field of Healthcare as follows:-
HEALTHCARE EDUCATION: which has employed the use of augmented
reality for the purpose of training students. This has allowed a
new way students can learn anatomy and the intricacies of the human
body. It has revolutionized the way Healthcare practitioners are
taught.
3D PRINTED DRUGS: It has already become a reality with Aprecia
pharmaceuticals 3d printing the first drug ever. This will open up
a pathway for a new system which will allow patients to have
customized dosages, with different reaction time and non-allergic
drugs which can be administered to the patients.
FOOD SCANNERS: Tellspec is a firm that has created a food scanner
prototype, which will allow people to scan anything that they are
eating which not only provides benefits for the health conscious
but for people with allergies, it can save them a lot of hurt in
the future.
EHR SYSTEM: which has provided a system for accurate collection of
patient data and service records. This has allowed the healthcare
industry to grow at a staggering pace, fueled up by the data that
the EHR system holds.
All these technologies have helped Healthcare services in one way
or the other. With technology being able to create a better more
competent workforce, to drugs that can be synthesized artificially.
All this has allowed people to receive better Healthcare easier and
for service providers to ride the wave of the new technological
advancement to create a better overall system.
All the advancements and technologies can be implemented easily and
are relatively easier to be funded. The exception being an EHR
system which is valuable but not as cost friendly as the
other.
Small Healthcare service providers can, therefore, secure
government grants or public donations for the system to be
implemented and government can, along with Medicaid and Medicare,
provide people with these technologies for a relatively achievable
capital investment.
Healthcare quality can be defined as the prospect of Healthcare
service providers to expand the degree of current healthcare to
meet the requirements set for achieving a favourable outcome. In
plain English, we can call it the measurement of the value that it
holds i.e if something is good enough and it is suitable to serve
the required purpose.
The various component that might increase or decrease the value of
Healthcare quality in the eyes of the consumer can be classified
as:-
SAFETY which refers to avoid harm to the lives of the
patient.
EFFECTIVE which means providing the best solution to the patients
with full utilization of all the current standards.
TIME which means the time spent gathering the solution and
providing it to the patient.
EFFICIENCY which means to avoid wastage wherever possible.
PATIENT CENTRIC which means providing an atmosphere where the
patients feel safe and relaxed.
Two skills required to increase Healthcare quality are:-
Overcoming challenges and barriers to set a goal and effectively
pursuing it. This tenacity is the key to increasing the quality of
Healthcare services.
Working with other and collaboration is the most important aspect
that a person requires to be able to be efficient enough to
increase the quality of Healthcare service.
The five components of a system are:-
Standards: Every system needs a standard operating phase which
includes the hardware and software requirements. This sets the
requirements and the connected components of any system
together.
Key environmental dependencies: which means the interrelationship
of all the component entities and their interactions with the
outside environment.
Distribution of the different system components: which means that
with an increase in a new component or technology or interaction of
a system, a new distribution of this entities takes place
efficiently in the system.
Technology or building blocks: which mean that a system is
self-sufficient within the scope of its own working processes and
does not depend upon other factors, the building block of such a
system is based upon the technology necessary to run the system
effectively.
Complexity and necessity: which means that any system, be it
complex or simple needs to be able to define the core purpose of
its implementation and covers the necessity and the requirement of
the said system.
